While I’m not an imperial player (I’m not a big fan of the whole ‘, child murdering, planet destroying’ dark side thing) I know some of X-Wing Miniatures fans are going to be pleased to see the latest from Fantasy Flight Games X-Wing expansion, the Inquisitor’s Tie.
A new expansion from Wave VIII, which focuses on ships from the Star Wars Rebels era (set in between Episodes III and IV), the Inquisitor’s tie is a highly maneuverable and durable fighter, boasting a lot of green maneuvers, as well as both a barrel roll AND boost action in its default action bar.
Following your ship around and constantly blasting at it seems to be the name of the game for the inquisitor, according to FFG’s breakdown:
This suits The Inquisitor well, as he wants to keep his enemies within his sights. It does not matter if his target is at range “1” or range “3;” so long as he is firing with his ship’s primary weapon, you treat the attack as though it were made at range “1,” meaning that you add an extra die and your opponent does not gain an extra defense die for range, even at range “3.”
Really not looking forward to avoiding firing arcs in my B-Wings, that’s for sure.
The FFG products page shows the Inquisitor’s TIE Expansion Pack as on the boat and heading to distributors as of Dec 31, 2015.
